Rotary Zones 33/34 on Social Media

The social media strategy for Rotary Zones 33/34 focuses on achieving three main objectives::

    1. Providing engaging and valuable content to districts, clubs, and members within Zones 33/34 and beyond.
    2. Expanding the reach and impact on districts, clubs, and members across Zones 33/34 and beyond.
    3. Ensuring diverse and meaningful interactions with districts, clubs, and members across Zones 33/34 and beyond.
To achieve these goals, the Zones 33/34 Social Media Team follows a structured approach, using adaptable tools and innovative practices to create and share official content. Acknowledging the variety of social media options available, each catering to different content types and audiences, the current social media presence of Rotary Zones 33/34 includes the following platforms:

 

 

Zones 33/34 encourage all members, clubs and districts to like, follow, join and/or subscribe to as many of its social media channels, as well as, to tag @RotaryZones3334 and use #RotaryZones3334 where appropriate in your respective posts on social media. Additionally, members, clubs and districts are all welcome to engage with Zones 33/34 on social media by adding reactions, posting comments and sending messages.

District Champions

To enhance the impact of the Zones 33/34 Social Media Team, each of the 31 districts is encouraged to appoint a District Champion—ideally the current or recent District Public Image Chair. This individual will play a key role in driving engagement with Zones 33/34 social media among clubs and members.

While the preferred choice is the District Public Image Chair, any member of the District Public Image Committee or District Leadership Team can take on this role.

The Role of a District Champion:

  • Promote & Advocate – Encourage clubs and members to engage with Zones 33/34 social media channels, website, and overall Public Image efforts.
  • Keep Clubs Informed – Share important updates, initiatives, events, and challenges set by the Zones 33/34 Social Media and Public Image Teams.
  • Collaborate & Contribute – Receive and help implement district-specific goals, as communicated by the Zones 33/34 Social Media Team.
  • Engage in Strategy Meetings – Participate in quarterly meetings with the Zones 33/34 Team to discuss progress, share insights, and review accomplishments.

 

By serving as a District Champion, you help strengthen Rotary’s collective voice and amplify the incredible work being done across our zones!

The Rotary Zones 33/34 Social Media Team (SMT) is looking for passionate and committed Rotarians and Rotaractors to help expand our reach and impact across the region. If you have the skills, enthusiasm, and availability to serve at the Zone level, we encourage you to apply!

About the SMT
The SMT plays a vital role in sharing Rotary’s story by highlighting activities and accomplishments across Zones 33/34. Our mission is to inform, engage, and inspire members, clubs, and districts through dynamic content and active social media management.

As part of this effort, the SMT manages and grows Zones 33/34’s presence across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Vimeo, and YouTube. Team members also develop high-quality content to enhance engagement and visibility.

 

Roles & Responsibilities
SMT members contribute in various ways, including:

  • Managing social media channels – Ensuring platform integrity, engagement, and value.
  • Creating impactful content – Developing compelling posts, images, and videos for distribution.
  • Collaborating with other Zone teams – Coordinating efforts to produce relevant and timely content.
  • Ongoing contributions:
    • Weekly: Manage at least one social media channel and/or create content.
    • Monthly: Submit progress reports and address any concerns.
    • Quarterly: Participate in team meetings, providing updates and feedback.

Commitment begins immediately upon joining the team.

 

Qualifications

We’re looking for individuals who:

  • Are actively engaged and committed to supporting the team’s goals.
  • Have experience managing and growing social media platforms.
  • Are familiar with Rotary International’s brand guidelines and how to apply them.
  • Preferably have experience in content creation (graphics & videos), with skills in Canva or similar tools.
