WPD R4R challenge

World Polio Day Raise for Rotary Challenge

For World Polio Day 2024 (WPD), Rotary Zones 33/34 are proud to announce and offer a unique fundraising opportunity to all its Rotary and Rotaract Clubs and members across all 31 Districts.

Using the Raise for Rotary (R4R) platform, Clubs or members can join the Zones 33/34 WPD Team and create their own unique fundraising campaign and donation page centered on WPD. This is a great way to encourage awareness-building and fundraising activities for WPD and polio while raising funds in support of #EndPolioNow  – Rotary’s #1 priority

All funds collected through the R4R platform go directly to The Rotary Foundation, so there is no need for Clubs or individuals to receive, send or transfer money at any time. Also, all member contributions will be credited to the respective members where they will also receive foundation recognition points. For non-member donors, the respective Rotary/Rotaract club can receive the credit as well as foundation recognition points.

The RI Club Excellence Award (formerly the RI Citation Award Goal) asks each Club to raise US $1500 annually for Polio. So…this initiative is a great way for a Club to meet and/or exceed that contribution goal to the PolioPlus Fund. It’s also an easy means to garner support of the PolioPlus Fund among non-members such as family, friends and colleagues.

Additionally, members can use this initiative to satisfy their own annual contribution requirements to the PolioPlus Fund in order to join or maintain their existing membership in their respective District’s PolioPlus Society

TO KEEP THINGS EXCITING AND FUN…Zones 33/34 is also adding a competitive element to this initiative:

  • Participating Clubs which raise $1500 or more as part of the initiative will be specially recognized as an #EndPolioNow CHAMPION Club
  • The top 3 participating Clubs which raise the most contributions as part of the initiative will each receive a special certificate and recognition on Zone 33/34 channels
  • The top 3 participating members who raise the most contributions as part of the initiative will each receive a special certificate and recognition on Zone 33/34 channels

The Zones 33/34 World Polio Day Raise for Rotary Challenge is open from 9th September 2024 through 24th October 2024 and is available to all Rotary and Rotaract Clubs and members across Zones 33/34.
