In today’s digital age, it’s more important than ever for Rotary clubs to have a strong public image. A well-crafted public image plan can help your club to attract new members, raise awareness of your community service projects, and build positive relationships with other organizations.
Here are some of the key benefits of having a public image plan: I
- Increased visibility: A public image plan can help your club to reach a wider audience and get your name out there in the community.
- Membership growth: A strong public image can make your club more attractive to potential new members, and help keep your current members engaged.
- Enhanced community engagement: A public image plan can help you to build stronger relationships with other organizations and individuals in your community.
- Stronger brand recognition: A consistent public image will allow people to recognize and remember your club, and help you to control the perception of your club in the community.
If you’re a Rotary club in Zones 33/34, now is the time to create your public image plan. As part of the August EPIC award task, you’re asked to lay out where you’re going to spread the word about what your club is doing, what your club story is, when you’re going to share it, and what vehicles you’re going to use to deliver the news.
Here are some tips for creating your public image plan:
- Define your target audience: Who are you trying to reach with your messaging?
- Identify your key messages: What do you want people to know about your club?
- Choose your channels: What platforms will you use to share your message (e.g., social media, website, press releases, etc.)?
- Create a content calendar: What content will you share and when will you share it? Note: this is the September task for the EPIC award.
- Delegate tasks: Don’t try to do it all yourself! Put together a public image committee and get other club members involved in creating and sharing content.
By following these tips, you can create a public image plan that will help your Rotary club to thrive.
Remember, a strong public image is essential for the success of any organization. By taking the time to develop and implement a public image plan, you can help your Rotary club to make a lasting impact on your community.
