Peace & Conflict Prevention/Resolution is one of Rotary International’s Areas of Focus.  A Rotary goal is to support peacebuilding in communities.

Twenty-two Districts jumped in with enthusiastic support when Peter Kyle, Rotary International Director for Rotary Zones 33 & 34, introduced a vision for Youth & Peace in ActionSM. “YPA” is now the largest local peacebuilding initiative in the history of Rotary International with a public commitment of $500,000 to peace education, training and project mentoring for high school students, teachers and youth service club members. YPA implementing organizations are NewGen PeacebuildersSM and Outward Bound PeacebuildingSMYPA is endorsed by the Alliance for Peacebuilding and Rotary International Strategic Partner the Institute for Economics & Peace. Rotary Clubs that support the YPA initiative will be recognized as Peacebuilder Clubs by the Rotarian Action Group for Peace.
